Usage:
Activator is a spring-loaded hand-held instrument to provide quick and low-force impulse to specific areas.
When to use?
Adjuster is used in patients with osteoporosis, patient with Ankylosing spondylitis, geriatric patients with chronic issues, history of fracture, patients who are not able to go in manipulation position, areas which are not able to adjust manually due to stiff muscles.
Instrument usage guidelines:
This instrument is so quick on the specific areas (bones) that the body’s muscles are less likely to tense. This lack of muscle resistance may facilitate the treatment effectiveness. The applied force is very specific and does not put the joint in any compromised position (bending or twisting).
Cautions:
Adjuster technique is relatively safe but could lead to mild stiffness or soreness after first session. Not to be used in patients with infection, cancer, fracture, open wound, serious neurological disorder.
